These are my accessories. For the kitchen, that is. Stuff that everyone should have, if you like to cook Asian.
When I travel, one of the (many) quirks I have is to take cooking lessons. So far I’ve only done it twice (in Thailand and Sichuan, China), and have missed a few opportunities in Italia and Morocco. I’ll have to fix that some day.
I also own a half stake in a Chinese cooking school in Yangshou, for which my $2000 investment had paid back twice that in profit so far. I choose my partners with care.
And so tonight, I’m cooking up a Thai meal of pad thai (stir fried noodles) and tom yum soup (a Thai version of hot and sour).
Coming right up.
