A walk across the Bosporus
Istanbul has a split personality; one side is modern, vibrant, bustling, the other, ancient, historic, and no less bustling. The link between the two – between Eminonu in Asia, and Karakoy, on the European side, is the Galata Bridge.
I walked it just to say I could, from Asian to Europe.
And on the European side, in the Karakoy neighbourhood of Beyoglu, facing the ancient side of Istanbul, with the Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar in the background, I found fishermen.
