Where's Teddy Now?

Last Legs

We’re on a road to nowhere…

Les Arceaux

This is the Saint Clément Aqueduct. Before you get too excited, it’s not *that* old, certainly not Roman. It’s from the 1600s, and it defines the neighbourhood of Les Arceaux (The Arches) in Montpellier.

(I swear to his Noodley Appendage, if they name a community back home in Calgary “The Arches”, I will scream. I already want to scream at Tuscany – “all the tile, none of the charm*”.)

All of this to say that we are in the final legs of our journey. We’ve had 22 or 26 (lost count) of them so far, some as short as 3 (Singapore) or 8 (Istanbul) days, some as long as a month (Rayong, Glyfada).

It seems so long ago that we were enjoying sunshine and the best orange juice in Christiandom, in Greece.

We’ll be in southern France for about three weeks, based out of Montpellier and Nice (that will be a leg). Then we travel up through the wine regions of Burgundy and the Cotes de Rhone (where Goats do Roam) for about a week, then into Paris for the last days of our Schengen Visa stay.

Europe kicks us out on June 24.

We’ll escape to London for a few days to visit with the royal babies (I’m to be 52nd Godfather, thrice removed), and then back home.

Then we’ll be in Ontario for three weeks to decompress at the family cottage, before we’re off to  home, in Calgary, for August 1. Hopefully we take (re)possession of our Inglewood house, and in good condition.

*With apologies to my Tuscany friends…
