Where's Teddy Now?

Maps

I’ve updates my travel map. It shows the areas that I’ve had the privilege of travelling to. Looks like this:

There is, of course, lots of debate about what kind of map best represents where you’ve been and what you’ve seen. I was reminded of the debate by Chris’ posting (Some bias in mapping). I’ve been to China, for example, but have I “done” the country? Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Hell, I live in Canada. Have I even been to most of my own country? My version of a travel map tells you.

I have been playing around a bit with the FaceBook application. It’s (yet another) Google Map Mashup, and a nice one at that. But you have to zoom in to see anything meaningful. From afar, it looks as though I own Europe.

Which I don’t.

To catch a view of my up to date map, find my on FaceBook. I’m finding that I like it a bit more now that I understand its inner machinations. And although I’m not into collecting friends (in the FB way), do feel free to add me up. Especially if you’re a lurker, and we met in the desert four years ago. I am, of course, Ted Buracas.
