Where's Teddy Now?

Cirque

Cirque du Soleil has been to Cowtown three times. The last show, Delirium, was presented in the Saddledome. Not the best venue, and apparently, not to the best reviews, either.

Now, the first two times, I kicked myself for not jumping aboard. The buzz was huge, and the reviews were huger. When Delirium came around, Ti and I jumped on whatever tickets were available, and we snagged some in the middlee, but pretty high up.

We were blown away. Even if it was more a musical event than circus, and even if the theatrical segments were “best 0f” scenes, gleaned from previous shows. We loved it. And vowed to return.

Well, Cirque is returning, in nine months. And we managed to get second row tickets on the corner.

Here’s a bit of the review from Broadway.com

The latest Cirque du Soleil spectacle has an Italian flavor, clowns of varying sizes and dreamlike imagery. Not surprisingly, the term Fellini-esque comes to mind. One of the most visually sumptuous and thematically unified shows the troupe has brought to New York, Corteo is a dazzling production that will entertain school-age kids as well as adults. As always, however, don’t go expecting a traditional Ringling Brothers-style circus.

In nine freaking months, we shall be able to see for ourselves. My guess is that we won’t be camping on the August long weekend.

And don’t even ask how much these cost. Jesus, don’t ask.
