It’s right at 0ËšC and brightly sunny on this Christmas Day. And it’s quiet in our home, with just the three of us. Well, not counting for Ellie’s new screeching habit, ably demonstrated via Skype video conference to Oma and Stelios in Toronto.
Christmas has always been a goood season for us, and this year is made particularly noteworthy with Elliotte’s presence. Although at this point she’s more interested in playing with the ribbons than tearing open things.
Last year at this time we were in Hawaii, walking through the most amazing Christmas light displays at the Honolulu City Hall. In shorts and t-shirts. And before that, our last Christmas with Omi. I am very happy that I was able to bring the entire family down to Toronto for that, but incredibly sad that she never got to meet Ellie.
And so, life goes on. And as it does, do not forget the downtrodden, the disadvantaged, the lower classes of our society. I speak, of course, of the rich. Thank God I’m not rich.
