Building on last night’s Train extravaganza, I thought I’d let you in on a few more photos from, that set.
The cleverer among you will notice some similarities between this photo and the five posted last night. Five similarities, in fact. Once again, this photo was taken with the 20D and the 70-200 IS L series at the full 200mm, 1/320th of a second at f3.5.
Does it all begin to make sense now? If not, then this one below should help out a bit.
There we go, as clear as the blades of grass in the brilliant sun. And so now you have my confession.
Now, admittedly, when I chose which sections of the master photo to crop for last night, I was stretching things a bit. Yes, I do like the individual edits, but I don’t think that every one of them is printable. It’s one thing to view them on a screen and say “yeh, that’s nice”, but quite another to print and frame and display on limited wall space.
And trust me, we at Chaos Manor have very limited wall space.
It’s a moot point at any rate, since if I did want to print, the largest I might be able to go would be 3×2. That’s because even though the original shot has 8.2 million pixels to choose from, the edits have only about a third of a million pixels. Too small to do anything with except view them online.
And therein lies the problem with my current rig, and the subject of tomorrow’s post.
Funny thing is that I actually like this photo better. Yes, it is cropped as well, from this one.
