First day off work, and the first (real) day of summer for us teachers. Time to take Ellie on her first trip to the back country. She gets to ride easy, on my back in a Deuter.
The hike up to Chester Lake is an easy 10 km round trip, up 310 m and then back down. Easy for La Petite Fille ™, less so for me. With the pack, the load up pushes 15 kilos.
But the views were beautiful, and it was a sunny, hot Saturday. Great day to be in the mountains.
More shot on my Flickr Set, oddly named Chester Lake.
